Dongnae Deulnoreum has evolved with a strong emphasis on local participation. On the night following Lunar New Year’s Day, after the lively tug-of-war event held in the marketplace or threshing ground, villagers partake in deulnoreum, expressing wishes for peace and prosperity in the village.
